Call Me by Your Name (Italian: Chiamami col tuo nome) is a 2017 romantic film directed by Luca Guadagnino. The screenplay was adapted by James Ivory, who won the Oscar for this work of him, based on André Aciman's 2007 novel of the same name.
Set in 1983 in northern Italy, Call Me by Your Name tells the romance between 17-year-old boy Elio Perlman (Timothée Chalamet) and 24-year-old graduate student Oliver (Armie Hammer) as an assistant for Elio's father (Michael Stuhlbarg - an archaeological professor).
The small movie is highly applaused by critics and audiences, especially young ones, for its warm story-telling, the rich cinematic pictures and the excellent performance by Timothee Chalamet who won several famous awards for Actor in the main role.
