Mando goes to Peli Motto's mechanical workshop on the planet Tatooine to find a memory circuit for the repair of droid IG-11, but she doesn't have one. Peli Motto suggests selling her timid and frightened R5 Astromech to Mando so it can support him.
The surface of the planet Mandalore is not completely poisoned or "cursed", and the air is still breathable. Mando follows the underground system to go deep into the mines. He defeats a group of ancient apes here, but is later captured by a monster hybrot. The monster master of this hybrot seems to be a rat and it seemingly needs Mando's blood for feeding.
Grogu bravely escapes the hunt and alone returns to the spaceship Naboo N1 to reach the planet Kalevala asking for the help of Bo-Katan.
Bo-Katan rushes to Mandalore to save Mando. With skilled fighting abilities, she easily defeats a group of ancient apes, and then slashes the monster hybrot, thanks in part to Mando's Darksabers.
Mando, not wearing his jetpack, goes to bathe in the waters of the mines, but is immediately dragged down to the bottom. Bo-Katan rushes after on her jetpack to save him, and discovers that deep at the waters bottom is a mythical beast Mythosaur.
According to the Mandalorian legends also recorded on the stele here, these beskar mines were originally a Mythosaur lair. Mandalore the Great tamed a Mythosaur, and the skull of this mystical creature has became the symbol of the planet Mandalore.
