The sea monster kills most of the people on the shipwrecks. The only man alive is Halbrand and he tries to save Galadriel. The two then struggle to survive in a big sea storm.
In the Harfoots' village, a "star" falls and creates a deep burning pit, in the center of which is a large and naked old man. Nori - a curious and goodhearted Harfoot girl tries to save and help the mysterious stranger, and figure out what he wants to say.
In the Southlands, Arondir and Bronwyn discover a burning village, with no casualties but with underground huge passages, apparently dug by monsters.
Bronwyn returns to her village to warn everyone, but it's hard to make them believe in her. She returns home and discovers that the house is being attacked by a monster from the underground. Bronwyn and her son struggles against the monster, are lucky enough to get it killed. She brings the monster's head to the villagers as evidence and urge them to evacuate to the Elven Tower for safety.
King Gil-galad entrusts Elrond to work with Lord Celebrimbor of Ekegion - the Kingdom of Elven Smiths - the finest blacksmiths, on some ambitious project.
Celebrimbor has a plan: to create something of great beauty and power. But first, he needs to build a tower big enough to create the greatest smithy Middle-earth had ever seen. And he needs it done in the spring. This will require a lot of manual labor.
Elrond has some ideas and decides to travel to Khazad-dûm ("Kingdom of the Dwarves") and renew his friendship with his old friend Durin IV (Owain Arthur), a dwarf prince.
The process of mending old friendships in order to move forward with asking for some favor is also quite difficult because Elrond's dwarf friend is sulking on the childish reason that Elrond did not attend his wedding in the past (even though the dwarf prince did not call, nor text, nor chat on Facebook, nor Whatsapp, nor send a wedding invitation to Elrond at all).
Charlie Vickers ... Halbrand
