In Episode 4 of Superman and Lois Season 2 - "The Inverse Method", 5 years ago, Lucy moved out of the Kent family apartment after arguing with Lois about her relationship with Ally Allston. In the present, Ally traps Lois in a plot to deepen the Lucy - Lois conflict and make Chrissy no longer trust Lois.

Angry at Timmy Ryanm, Jonathan decides to use some of the ice given to him by Candice. The substance inadvertently activates a certain superpower hidden inside him. Jonathan becomes a living telescope, able to observe things from a great distance.
In the episode, Clark twice encounter the evil Superman, and both times has to rely on John's help. In the second time, because the his armor and hammer have not been fully restored, John is knocked unconscious by the dark Superman.
