Superman & Lois Episode 12: John Irons Befriends Clark's Family 🎥

In Episode 12 of Superman and Lois - "Through the Valley of Death", after receiving a phone call from Lois, John Henry Irons go to General Sam for discussion and the two seem to agree on the plan to use Kryptonite-integrated weapon to weaken then kill Superman.

TO SAVE OR KILL SUPERMAN

Lois vehemently opposes the option of killing Superman because she thinks there is still a chance for Superman to resist the mind turn. Before that, she met with Kyle to ask about his experience when going through the irradiation experiment of the Eradicator machine and came to know that the subject would later go through the process of accepting or rejecting the transformation.

However, Lois fails to convince John Henry Irons that Superman can still be saved. She even reveals to Irons that Superman is her husband Clark Kent in real life. Young Jonnathan also tries to meet John to convince him to save his father.

JOHN DIGGLE OF A.R.G.U.S

To find Superman's location, General Sam enlists the help of the ARGUS. The organization sends their representative, John Diggle, to assist with their technology.

However, positioning takes a long time because it has to search all over the earth. Later, Jordan telepathically communicates with Superman and learns he is in a desert. Narrowing the area makes searching easier and faster.

IRONS VS SUPERMAN, ONCE AGAIN

John Henry Irons wears the Lex Luthor armor equipped with a Kryptonite-integrated sub-missile to meet Superman in the desert. Superman initially overwhelms Irons but Irons unexpectedly summons the Hammer to knock Superman out.

When Irons is about to fire the sub-missile then Lois begs for consideration, Irons stops and tries to encourage Superman to resist the mind-altering process.

MORGAN EDGE AND THE MYSTERY OF THE ERADICATOR

Upon learning that Superman's transformation failed, Morgan Edge takes the Eradicator and fly high into the air, exercises his his full energy to activate it, but apparently to generate the massive explosion and impulse to transform the minds of all humans on Earth. However, Irons promptly fires the Kryptonite sub-missile intercepted.

Morgan Edge is knocked unconscious by Superman and brought back to the Department of Defense. However apparently the Kryptonite field in the prison does not weaken Edge's superstrength. It is not clear why Edge has that special ability. That could be a direct consequence of the Kryptonite sub-missile firing directly at the Eradicator.

Thus, in the following episodes, it is possible that Superman will have to confront a Morgan Edge with superior strength and new-acquired special power that makes General Sam's Kryptonite arsenal no longer effective.
