“ARMY OF THE DEAD” by Jack Snyder is set after an outbreak of zombies leaving the lavish casino city Las Vegas, Nevada in ruins, occupied by in-human beings and isolated from the rest of the world. A team of bounty hunter led by Scott Ward (Dave Bautista) breaks into the blockaded city to get $200 million in an highly-secured underground vault.

Zombies in the movie are so different from the ones in the world of AMC's "The Walking Dead" series, that they should rather be called "super zombies" to be more precisely precisely: they are as fast as the Flash, as powerful Hulk, as combat-skilled as Black Widow and as well-organized as Iron Man.
Originally, an unknown super zombie is being transported in a military vehicle, but escapes in a rare accident: a pair of lovers are so keen on their blowjob affaris that the male driver loses his drive control then hits the convoy. The Super zombie turns 2 soldiers into his infected followers, then 3 of them conquer the Las Vegas to start the journey to turn this city into a zombie kingdom.
This is a real Kingdom: there is an Emperor (who is the original super zombie – the Alpha), a zombie Queen, an elite team that obeys the Emperor's order, "food" stock (a living humans), royal zombie horse, royal zombie pet being a tiger. They are also expecting a zombie prince or princess to be delivered.
The bounty hunters faces two major challenges: a vault full of security pitfalls; and the relentless onslaught of the smart and powerful Zombie Emperor and his elites.
And just like the "dark" nature of the Jack Snyder movies, most of the characters one by one come to their tragic endings. Vanderohe (Omari Hardwick) – the rare survivor with all the money rents a plane to fly from the US to Mexico. On the flight, he discovers that he is infected with the zombie virus and he may turn soon. And if there is a sequel to this movie, this will be much room for another fascinating story.
Although being an horror movie, "Army of the Dead" also explores many touching stories about the people who are willing to sacrifice themselves for each other.
And surely you will remember the scene of Las Vegas being ravaged by zombies on the background music of “Viva Las Vegas”.
